Feminism and male rule in business environmentsJewish Feminism is a modern current that took roots in the US, back in the 1970's. Feminism is about women rights. It promotes an active and egalitarian doctrine that reflects on women as equals to men in society. The main goal of Jewish feminism is to fight for creating a social, economic and political environment in which Jewish women are treated equally and are given the same opportunities as men or as women from other religions. Feminism is a theory that springs from the fact that women and men are not treated equally in our current society. Men have bigger salaries than women who occupy the same positions, have the same qualifications and the same education. Women are considered to be unstable business partners because they are emotional and tend to become very attach to different things or people. These aspects are considered by the promoters of feminism and Jewish feminism as being untrue. Also, Jewish feminism fights for religious freedom, no matter the religious background. A Jewish woman should not be discredited or refused for a position just because of her religion, which in the end is a private matter. Also, society tends to downgrade women because they are more fragile, get sick easily and tend to become maternal and have babies which can be a financial burden for any company which employs women. To defend their status, women can argue that men are the biggest buyers of online medications. Studies have shown that 60% of people who buy from an online pharmacy are men who buy Viagra and also generic Viagra. Not to mention that the Viagra online industry is one of the most profitable online businesses. So, in the end, men also have medical problems that can make them unfit to work and determine them to ask for medical days off from their bosses. |
